In a unique communications partnership, the IMI and ITN Productions are producing a news and current affairs-style programme examining a turning point for the motor industry.
Driving change will be an in-depth, online programme specifically aimed at those within the industry, looking at new technologies, flourishing career opportunities, and the desire to move towards a fully licensed and regulated industry that can maintain consumer trust and confidence despite recent setbacks.
Key industry interviews
The news-style piece will combine key industry interviews and news-style reports with sponsored editorial profiles of some of the leading organisations in the sector.
With 37 million cars on the road, 500,000 people employed and a value of £152bn per year, the retail motor industry makes an almost unparalleled contribution to the UK economy. With "Driving Change", the IMI aims to highlight the broad range of issues that need to be addressed in order to sustain sector’s growth including: tackling the skills shortage, restoring confidence in the sector, mastering technological innovation, developing skills for driverless and electric cars and raising professional standards in the sector.
Driving Change will be premiered at IMI annual dinner on 10th March 2016 in London. The programme will then form part of an extensive online communications campaign which includes IMI members as well as journalists, writers, bloggers and politicians
