Join us at this event for an opportunity to hear guest speaker Dan Tipper share his experience and involvement in a project that is reported to be biggest investment in the Great Western railway since Brunel built it more than 150 years ago - the electrification and modernisation of the route of the Great Western Main railway line from London Paddington to South Wales. 

The work not only involved the installation of the electrification equipment but also the upgrading of stations and track layouts, and not forgetting the Severn Tunnel upgrade and the introduction of bi-mode trains - trains that can run on electric and diesel.
