The new 9 speed 9HP transmission is being introduced in the new Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport models and offers even better fuel economy and better performance over the earlier 6 and 8 speed transmissions. An optional stop-start function automatically stops the engine when the vehicle comes to a halt and restarts the engine and transmission when the brake is released.
